אַדֶּרֶתf. (b. h.; אָדַר) 1) cloak, cover. Gen. R. s. 63 (ref. to Gen. 25:25) כולו ראוי לא׳ every one (of the Roman people) fit for the purple cloak (may become an emperor). 2) (homiletically, as if אִדֶּרֶת = ch. אִדְּרָא, אִדַּר) the threshing floor, the store of grains.
