    נָקַףII (b. h.; cmp. קוּף a. נָקַב) to circle; to bore.Part. pass. נָקוּף; f. נְקוּפָה. Gen. R. s. 100, v. נָקַב. Hif. הִקִּיף 1) to surround. Erub.I, 8 (15b) והִקִּיפוּהָ (ב)כלי בהמה and they surrounded it (the camp) with utensils of travel (wagons, saddles).
