אֶפֶש, אֶיפֶש,m. ( אפש, √אף, cmp. חפץ; corresp. to b. h. נֶפֶש, v. Jer. 15:1) desire, pleasure; (only with personal pron. as suffix). Naz.IV, 5 אי אַפְשִׁיוכ׳ I will not live with an offensive woman.
