אֲרוּבָּהf. (b. h. אֲרֻבָּה, ארב) opening, whence 1) an aperture in the roof looking to the ground floor (answering to the Greek hypaithron, Roman compluvium), contrad. fr. חַלֹּון a garret window in the wall projecting above the flat roof.
