Nota d'usoPassage si può tradurre con “passaggio” in alcuni contesti, ma non è corretto utilizzare questo sostantivo per indicare un passaggio in automobile. In questo caso, il sostantivo corretto è lift: Could you give me a lift to the station? mi potresti dare un passaggio fino alla stazione? (non Could you give me a passage to the station?). Passage corrisponde a “tragitto” o “traversata” solo in relazione a un viaggio, di solito lungo, in nave. -
