Pass.: fut. 3 sg. καταλλαγήσεται 2 Macc 7:33; 2 aor. κατηλλάγην; ptc. καταλλαγείς; gener. ‘exchange’ one thing for another (TestJob 25:3 τρίχα … ἀντὶ ἄρτων); in our lit. only the exchange of hostility for a friendly relationship, reconcile (so Hdt. et al.; 2 Macc).
