חָשַׁךְ(b. h.; cmp. חשש) (to be pressed, thick, to be dark. Sabb.34a; 51a משחָשְׁכָה; ib. IV, 2 משתֶּחְשַׁךְ when it darkens (at nightfall, v. חֲשֵׁיכָה).
