Hamamelis virginiana (лат); кустарник или небольшое дерево, распространенные в восточных и южных штатах, на Среднем Западе [ Midwest] и в Канаде. Произрастает на влажной почве у водоемов. На Юге может достигать высоты 9 м. Листья матового зеленого цвета с зубчатыми краями длиной до 15 см и шириной до 8 см. Цветет в октябре-ноябре, на месте опавших листьев появляются желтые цветы. Название (букв.
