Stokes equates the Old Irish uilliu, oll, with Latin pollere, which is from *pol-no-, root pol as above (Wharton). The Gaelic syntax of tuille shows its comparative force in tuille na (more than) as well as tuille agus, Irish tuilleadh agus (addition and). -
