1) в программировании - логическая единица работы (logical unit of work, LUW), состоящая из запроса (например, к базе данных) и получения результатов его обработки. Механизм транзакций обеспечивает одновременный доступ к БД многих пользователей. Транзакции обладают свойством атомарности - каждая транзакция выполняется либо целиком, либо не выполняется вовсе. В этом случае (например, если во время выполнения транзакции возникает сбой) производится операция, называемая откатом транзакции (transaction rollback). Другим свойством транзакции является её изолированность (isolation), означающее, что транзакции выполняются независимо одна от другой. По месту исполнения, на одном или многих компьютерах, различают локальные (local transaction) и глобальные (global transaction) транзакции2) в более широком смысле под транзакцией понимается одновременное и взаимозависимое взаимодействие между множеством компонент системысм. тж.
