Не обманывайтесь, буквальный смысл этого выражения присутствует здесь только в юмористическом плане. Если вам так сказали, не очень вероятно, что вы будете "keep in touch" в прямом смысле. Так саркастически прощаются с неинтересным человеком. Аналогично наше выражение "Держи карман шире!" вовсе не означает, что вам сейчас что-то дадут.
Keep (one's) cool — оставаться невозмутимым, сохранять спокойствие (например, в трудной ситуации). No matter they kill you. Just keep your cool. То же самое можно сказать иным образом, посочнее:
