61 Cotton Suitings
All-cotton fabrics, made in imitation of the worsted suitings, colours and designs being very closely copied. The colours are mostly greys, browns, etc., with black and white used for effect. Simple weaves are employed, such as plain, twills, matts, ribs and small dobby effects. A two-fold warp is most general with a soft spun weft. The qualities vary from 44 to 84 ends per inch, and 48 up to 72 picks per inch, 2/24's, 2/30's and 2/32's warp, with 10's to 20's weft. Usually dyed yarns are used all through. -
