    Kinkajou ou singe de nuit - Potos flavus - (de la famille des Procyonidés, Carnivores) vit
    vit dans les forêts tropicales du Mexique et du Brésil. Taille: 39 à 76 cm (longue queue: 40 à 57 cm, préhensile). Il a de grands yeux brillants et une fourrure douce laineuse brun claire. Nocturne et arboricole. Solitaire ou en couple, mais peut se rencontrer à plusieurs sur un même arbre ; les territoires ne sont pas défendus. Mange surtout des fruits mous, des fleurs dont il lèche le nectar avec sa longue langue. Se déplace en haut des arbres. Habite tout les types de forêt. Se retire le jour dans un trou d'arbre.
    Un seul jeune après gestation de 112-118 jours, qui est mis au monde dans un tronc creux et pèse 150-200 g à la naissance.
    Le terme vient par l'anglais de l'algonquin, Ojibwa: 'qwingwaage', wolcerine.
    Kinkajou = a slender nocturnal arboreal carnivorous mammal (Potos caudivolvulus, family Procyonidae) of Mexico and Central and SO America that is about three feet long and has a long prehensile tail, large lustrous eyes, and soft woolly yellowish brown fur.
    Form: sur tôchtli, morph.incorp. ocôtl.
