Во многих случаях, именно скрытое практическое знание - является ключевым для принятия решений и управления. Противопоставляются Явным знаниям (Explicit knowledge).

2.29 неформализованное (неявное) знание (Tacit Knowledge): Включает теоретические модели, модели поведения, модели перспектив, основанных главным образом на опытных данных. Знания данного типа подлежат последующей формализации и распространению. Этому может способствовать, например, проведение совместных образовательных мероприятий сразу несколькими организациями (см. 2.3).
