58 Decating Knit Goods
A special process for fixing the shape of jersey and such like fabric. The goods are fulled, scoured, dyed, dried, pressed, and then left on the tube of the decating machine. After decating they are repressed so as to give an even width throughout. Garments made from this cloth hold their shape better, and the material cuts better and handles more like a woven fabric.Dictionary of the English textile terms > Decating Knit Goods
