תְּנַאי, תְּנַּייm. (תָּנָה) (alternative,) stipulation, condition, agreement. Keth.19b ת׳ היו דברינו if witnesses say, the transaction to which we have testified was made dependent on a (verbal) condition (and we do not know that it has been fulfilled). Ib. או דילמא ת׳ מילתאוכ׳ or is a statement concerning a condition something different (from a statement concerning a trust, v. אְמָנָה)?
