ripple
set of unwanted periodic deviations with respect to the average value of the measured or supplied quantity, occurring at frequencies which can be related to that of the mains supply, or of some other definite source, such as a chopper
NOTE – Ripple is determined under specified conditions and is a part of PARD.
[IEV number 312-07-02]FR
ondulation

NOTE – L'ondulation est déterminée dans des conditions spécifiées et fait partie des déviations périodiques et/ou erratiques.

ecosystem degradation
Degradation or destruction of large natural environments. When one ecosystem is under attack as a result of natural or man-made disaster it is extremely difficult to calculate the ripple effects throughout nature. When two or more ecosystems are being degraded the probabilities of synergistic destructiveness multiply. Ecosystems in many regions are threatened, despite their biological richness and their promise of material benefits. (Source: WPR)

series mode voltage
unwanted part of the input voltage which is superimposed on the voltage due to the measurand

tension de mode série
partie indésirable de la tension d'entrée qui est superposée à la tension causée par le mesurande
