1) Interrupt Request Line - запрос на прерывание, линия запроса прерыванияа) сигнал, посылаемый устройством процессору при возникновении прерывания. В ПК внешние прерывания по одной из линий прерываний попадают в контроллер прерываний (interrupt controller), который формирует запрос на прерывание процессора и передаёт ЦП его номерб) линия (физическое соединение) для передачи сигнала прерывания процессору или контроллеру прерываний. В ПК (РС) имеется 16 линий прерываний (номерами от IRQ0 до IRQ15). Каждому устройству, использующему в своей работе прерывания, должен быть назначен (например, с помощью DIP-переключателей на системной плате) один или несколько IRQ. Имеется стандартная установка этих переключателей. Например, каждое нажатие клавиши на клавиатуре генерирует прерывание от этого устройства.
