Фаза водного режима реки, ежегодно повторяющаяся в данных климатических условиях в один и тот же сезон, характеризующаяся наибольшей водностью, высоким и длительным подъемом уровня воды, и вызываемая снеготаянием или совместным таянием снега и ледников.
Примечание
Различают половодья весеннее, весенне-летнее и летнее.
