Государственные ценные бумаги, которые приносят доход в виде процента, однако не имеют фиксированного срока погашения (redemption date). Обращающиеся в настоящее время облигации, называемые консолидированными доходными бумагами (consolidated annuities) или консолидированными ценными бумагами (consolidated stock), представляют собой результат объединения нескольких займов, сделанных государством в разное время начиная с XVIII в. Изначально по ним выплачивались 3 % при номинальной стоимости 100 ф. ст.; в настоящее время по большинству консолей платится 2,5 %; следовательно, их курс сейчас таков, что приносимый ими ежегодный доход (yield) сопоставим с доходом от долгосрочных первоклассных ценных бумаг (gilt-edged securities), например, при 27,75 ф. ст. они приносят около 9 % дохода.
