пигменты красных и синезеленых водорослей (фикоэритрины — красные, фикоцианины — синие), белки из группы хромопротеидов (см. хромопротеины), в состав небелковой части которых входят хромофоры билины — аналоги желчных кислот. Маскируют цвет основного пигмента фотосинтеза — хлорофилла. Аминокислоты в Ф. составляют 85 %, углеводы — 5 %, хромофоры — 4—5 %. Общее содержание Ф. в водорослях достигает 20 % (на сухую массу). Локализованы Ф. в клетке в особых частицах — фикобилисомах; поглощают кванты света в желтозеленой области спектра. Участвуют в фотосинтезе в качестве сопровождающих пигментов, доставляя поглощенную энергию света к фотохимически активным молекулам хлорофилла.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
