Relates to a method of driving the shuttle through the shed by means of a picking tappet which strikes a cone freely mounted on a stud fixed to a vertical shaft at the top of which is bolted the picking stick. The latter moves in a horizontal plane through an arc of a circle to throw the shuttle through the shed. This picking motion is used on fast running nartow looms It is also called the " Overpick ", " Blackburn " and " Fibow Pick "
