    עֲזִיבָהf. (עָזַב) 1) abandoning, giving up, renouncing (in favor of the poor, Lev. 19:10). Ḥull.131b וכולן …מ״ט ע׳ כתיב בהו and from all of them the owner must not derive the benefit of putting a person under obligation (v. טוֹבָה), because ‘abandoning (עזב) is written about them (Lev. l. c.). Y.Peah IV, end, 19a שהן בע׳ they must be abandoned. Ib. V, beg.19b (ref. to תעזב אתם, Lev. l. c.) יש לך ע׳ אחרת כזו (it intimates that) there is another abandonment like this (renouncing ones property in favor of the poor, v. הֶפְקֵר).
