Управлением по делам семьи и детства; предназначена для борьбы с бедностью путем оказания денежной поддержки семьям с низкими доходами и помощи в поисках работы; в частности, программа оказывает помощь в поиске временных рабочих мест, на которых можно было бы получить необходимый опыт и навыки и тем самым подготовиться к трудоустройству на постоянной основе, а также содействует в поиске постоянного места работы; помогает решить проблемы, связанные с алкогольной и наркотической зависимостью; поддерживает лиц, не способных устроиться на постоянную работу в связи с необходимостью ухода за тяжелобольным ребенком; помогает в решении жилищных проблем и т. п.; заменила собой программы "Помощь семьям с детьми, находящимися на иждивении" и "Трудоустройство и обучение базовым навыкам"; лица, имеющие право на участие в программе, могут получать пособия по программе "Медикэйд")See:Англо-русский экономический словарь > Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
