[лат. nect(ere) — соединять и - in(e) — суффикс, обозначающий "подобный"]семейство иммуноглобулин-подобных адгезивных Ca 2+ -независимых белков. Отдельные члены семейства Н. взаимодействуют между собой, образуя гомо- и гетерокомплексы, которые в кооперации с кадхеринами (см. кадхерины) или самостоятельно обеспечивают адгезию клеток друг с другом. Н. участвуют также в реорганизации актинового цитоскелета, активируют митогенактивируемые протеинкиназы. Некоторые Н. используются в качестве гистологических и серологических маркеров рака груди.
