Le mot Lake prend une majuscule lorsqu’il est utilisé devant le nom propre.le lac Supérieur= Lake Superiorle lac Victoria= Lake VictoriaLes mots Loch et Lough s’utilisent de la même façon.le loch Ness= Loch Nessle lough Erne= Lough ErneLe de utilisé en français pour les lacs qui portent des noms de villes n’est pas traduit en anglais.le lac de Constance= Lake Constancele lac d’Annecy= Lake AnnecyDans ce cas, l’anglais utilise toujours le mot Lake.
