Мультимодальная информация может создаваться или быть предназначенной для мультимодальных устройств, таких как микрофон для голоса (звуковой входной сигнал), ручка для тактильного входного сигнала, клавиатура для текстового входного сигнала, мышка для двигательного входного сигнала, громкоговоритель для входного сигнала в виде синтезированного голоса, экран для графического, текстового выходного сигнала, вибрирующее устройство для тактильного выходного сигнала, или устройство Брейля чтения и письма для людей с дефектами зрения.
