אָמַץ(b. h.; √אם, cmp. אמם, חמץ) to press, harden. אֹומְצֵי הלב hard-hearted. Tosef.Sot.XIV, 7; v. infra. Pi. אִמֵּץ, אִימֵּץ 1) to make strong, to strengthen.
