Рядом добыча нефти и газа.2) Остров-парк между г. Детройтом, шт. Мичиган, и канадским г. Виндзор, на реке Детройт [ Detroit River]. Соединен с Детройтом мостом Макартура [Mac-Arthur Bridge], длиной около 3,2 км. Вдоль южной части острова проходит водная граница с Канадой. На острове находятся детский зоопарк, музей Великих озер [Dossin Great Lakes Museum], аквариум. Популярное место отдыха, спорт. -
120 Fort Presque Isle
истПостроен французами в 1753 на месте современного г. Эри, шт. Пенсильвания, на берегу озера Эри. Занимал стратегически важное место на пути от Монреаля к форту Дюкен [ Fort Duquesne]. После того, как французы забросили форт летом 1759, его стали использовать англичане для обороны от враждебных индейских племен. В 1763 восставшие индейцы сожгли его.
