Opsa record of the inventory held by an organization. An inventory record forms an important part of material requirements planning systems. Such records usually make use of some form of part numbering or classification system, and include a description of the part, the quantity held, and the location of all the holdings. A transaction file keeps track of inventory use and replenishment. -
