14 -always o ever?-
In tutti gli altri casi è necessario utilizzare always: It's always cold here in winter, fa sempre freddo qui in inverno (non It's ever cold here in winter). Esiste inoltre la locuzione for ever che significa “per sempre”: I'll work here for ever, lavorerò qui per sempre. -
15 -montagna-
Nota d'usoIl sostantivo “mountain” viene usato al singolare quando ci si riferisce a una sola montagna: Hai mai scalato una montagna?, have you ever climbed a mountain? Se invece si parla della montagna in generale, questo sostantivo va utilizzato al plurale, preceduto dall'articolo “the”: Andiamo in montagna ogni inverno, we go to the mountains every winter (non letteralmente we go in the mountain every winter). -
