Nota d'usoI sostantivi salary, wage e pay si riferiscono tutti alla retribuzione lavorativa, ma vengono usati in contesti diversi. Salary può essere tradotto con “stipendio” e indica una retribuzione fissa su base mensile o annuale: Salaries are expected to rise next year, ci si aspetta un aumento degli stipendi il prossimo anno.
