Существительное подвиг эквивалентно английским deed, feat и exploit, однако deed имеет значение 'подвиг' только в сочетании с прилагательными heroic, wonderful и др., которые свидетельствуют о выдающемся характере поступка: героический (замечательный) подвиг – heroic (wonderful) deed.
