    At work Business trip 1
How did the trip to India go? Com'è andato il viaggio in India?
The trip was a bit hit-and-miss, to be honest.
We didn't close all the deals we wanted to.
    What happened? Che cos'è successo?
We went to see that supplier we've been having problems with.
We outsourced some work to a manufacturer in India a few years ago. Abbiamo affidato del lavoro a un produttore in India alcuni anni fa.
I know the supplier you're talking about. Conosco il fornitore di cui parli.
We found out why they've been dragging their heels.
They've moved to smaller premises and can't keep up with all their orders.
They've got a huge backlog of orders. Hanno una montagna di ordini arretrati.
I just wish they'd been straight with us in the first place.
Perhaps we could have come to some agreement. Forse avremmo potuto raggiungere un accordo.
What did you tell them? Che cosa gli hai detto?
I said we'd have to cancel our orders if they couldn't guarantee prompt delivery.
We have our deadlines to meet. Abbiamo delle scadenze da rispettare.
    I see. Capisco.
