  • 55 feel

v 1. чувствовать, испытывать: to feel smth; to feel smb to do smth/doing smth — чувствовать как/что кто-то что-либо делает; 2. пошарить (в поисках чего-либо): to feel for smth (1).

I felt him touch my shoulder lightly —

В этой конструкции употребляются также глаголы to care, to hear, to notice, to see, to watch.

    He felt well (happy, young).

с прилагательным well (а не good!):

to feel well (unwell) — чувствовать себя хорошо (плохо).

(4). В предложениях с глаголом to feel 3.

The wall felt cold —

    (5). See watch, v. (6). See hate, v (1).
