I a дальний, далекий Прилагательное far в современном английском языке имеет ограниченное употребление:in the far corner of the hall — в дальнем углу зала.
Русское далекий, дальний передается в английском языке прилагательным distant:a distant country (village, town, relative) — далекая страна (дальняя деревня, дальний родственник).
