заработанный доход
Доход, полученный в результате личных усилий налогоплательщика, в отличие от такой пассивной формы дохода, как дивиденды от инвестиций. Экономисты-теоретики налогообложения часто полагают, что заработанный доход должен облагаться налогом по более низким ставкам, нежели незаработанный доход, так как последний образуется без затрат налогоплательщиком своего времени и сил. Различие в доходах разными способами отражалось в системе налогообложения в Великобритании (налоговые скидки на заработанный доход, налоговые скидки на заработанный женой доход и дополнительный налог на доходы от инвестиций). Заработанный доход состоит в первую очередь из заработной платы и жалований, прибыли от предпринимательства, ройялти, и некоторых видов пенсий. В настоящее время различий между ставками налога на заработанный и незаработанный доходы не существует. См.: income-tax allowances (льготы при уплате подоходного налога).
