Группа НЗЧ, характеризующихся атрофией мышц, снижением мышечного тонуса, отсутствием сухожильных рефлексов; обусловлены генетически детерминированными дефектами метаболизма мышечной ткани; по типу детерминации выделяют 4 типа - аутосомно-рецессивный, аутосомно-доминантный, рецессивный и доминантный сцепленный с Х-хромосомой; к П.д.м. относятся синдромы (миопатии) Эрба-Рота, Дюшенна, Беккера, Ландузи-Дежерина, Говерса-Веландера (Невина), Кило-Невина, известна непрогрессирующая миопатия (дистрофия мышц), также имеющая врожденный характер; впервые проявления П.д.м. были описаны в 1853.
