Юридический документ, который должен быть составлен по определенной форме, используемый для переуступки дохода одним лицом другому в целях достижения экономии на налоговых платежах. Этот документ узаконивает платежи в течение года, которых должно быть, по крайней мере, шесть (за исключением платежей в пользу благотворительных обществ и фондов, когда допускается три платежа). Лицо, производящее такие платежи, вычитает из выплачиваемой суммы подоходный налог по базовой ставке, в большинстве случаев получая налоговую скидку на переводимые суммы. Получатель таких платежей, который не является налогоплательщиком (например, благотворительная организация), может потребовать возвращения взысканного налога. В некоторых случаях например, если платежи производятся на счет благотворительных организаций плательщик может рассчитывать на получение более высоких налоговых льгот; эта система не распространяется на передачу дохода в пользу детей школьного возраста.
