13 AEQUIVOCATIO (EQUIVOCATION)
равнозначность, омонимия, эквивокация, экивок, двуосмысленность (см.: AMPHIBOLIA). Термин введен Боэцием (см. AEQUIVOCUM). Идею двуосмысленности вещи (которая в христианстве одновременно может быть сакральной и профанной) выдвигал еще Августин, нашедший для нее термин «ambiguum» (см.: Августин. О христианском учении. Т. 1. С. 69 и далее в наст. изд.). В развитом Средневековье (XII в.) под эквивокацией понимались 1) двуосмысленность собственных и окказиональных значений имени (Ансельм Кентерберийский, Петр Абеляр); 2) разные референции одного и того же термина в зависимости от того, на какой стороне противоречия он находится; 3) разные смыслы одного и того же термина как следствие фигуративности языка; 4) речевые иносказания - тропы (Петр Абеляр); 5) общие и собственные основания одной и той же вещи; 6) возможности трансляции или трансумпции - переноса терминов из одного вида знания в другой (Петр Абеляр, Гильберт Порретанский). Паронимы (см. DENOMINATIO) и унивокация (одноименность, соименность - см. UNIVOCATIO) рассматриваются как частные случаи эквивокации. Эквивокация понималась не как логическая ошибка, а как теоретико-познавательный принцип двойственного («да» и «нет») существования вещи, имманентно-трансцендентная пульсация ее движения между бытием и ничто.Латинский словарь средневековых философских терминов > AEQUIVOCATIO (EQUIVOCATION)
