Чаще всего в русском языке слово «креатив» употребляется для обозначения творческой (визуальной и звуковой) части рекламного сообщения. Как сказал однажды Норман Берри, директор агентства Ogilvy & Mather: «Творческий потенциал - это единственное достояние рекламного агентства». Большинство российских рекламистов используют термин «креатив», когда подразумевают творческую идею, при этом предполагая обязательное присутствие нестандартных, оригинальных, самобытных, своеобразных, творческих моментов.
