1 Corded
A term applied to fabrics with ribs produced in the warp lengthways, produced in the weft crosswise, or produced diagonally by the use of twill weaves. -
2 Corded Alpaca
A fabric made with a cotton warp and alpaca weft. The cotton warp forms cords down the piece, and is covered by the weft which thus produces both face and back of the fabric. -
3 Corded Bapts
Grey cloths made from heavy sized warps in 20's to 28's twist, with grey cords composed of three or four ends crammed in one dent 4-in. or 5-in. apart in a 44 reed. The weft is 8's to 10's condenser, 32 picks per inch. Widths 30-in. to 39-in. Shipped to West Africa. -
4 Corded Dimity
A plain weave cloth made from a cotton warp and weft. Cords of hair are introduced in the warp, goat's hair and wool are usual. -
