zulassen, I) verschlossen lassen: clausum tenere. – non aperire (nicht öffnen). – II) den Zugang gestatten, s. einlassen. – jmd. zu einem Amt, einer Stelle z., alqm admittere ad honorem. – III) geschehen lassen: admittere. permittere (geschehen lassen, nicht verbieten). concedere (zugestehen). – sinere (lassen, nicht hindern). – pati alqd fieri u. bl. pati (dulden, daß etwas geschehe, z.B. leges publicae non patiuntur). – patientem esse alcis rei (etwas ertragen, vertragen können, z.B. ubi primum aetas militiae patiens fuit). – recipere (gleichs. aufnehmen = gestatten) v. Umständen etc., z.B. discrimen: u. res cunctationem od. dilationem non recipit). – habere (gleichs. an sich haben als Möglichkeit, v. Lebl., z.B. defensionem: u. dubitationem: u. aliquam comparationem). – auch licet (es ist gestattet, z.B. soweit es die Gesetze zulassen, quoad per leges liceat: der Vertrag hat das nicht zugelassen, non licuit per foedus fieri) – durch sein Verschulden z., daß etc., committere, ut etc.: es gern, ganz gern z., daß etc., aequo (aequissimo) animo oder facile pati mit Akk. u. Infin.
