61 carry
He had accumulated more possessions than he could carry on his back. I wore one when we went up to the posts and carried an English gas mask. -
62 carry conviction
быть убедительным, убеждать; вселять уверенность; звучать убедительно ( о словах)...there was a porter on the premises - a wonderful creature, in a vast red waist-coat... who carried more conviction to the minds of sceptics than the whole establishment without him. (Ch. Dickens, ‘Martin Chuzzlewit’, ch. XXVII) —...
When he fashions a character that does not carry conviction it is because there is in himself nothing of that person; he has had to fall back on observation, and so has only described, not begotten.
His words carried conviction, yet there was something behind them which she could not comprehend. (A. J. Cronin, ‘A Thing of Beauty’, part IV, ch.

63 carry coals to Newcastle
The things she brought became more marvellous every week. But however much she carried coals to Newcastle, or tobacco pouches to those who did not smoke, or homeopathic globules to such as crunched up the whole bottleful for the sake of the sugar as soon as her back was turned, no one ever smiled now with anything but real pleasure at the sight of her calm and truly sweet smile.

The child loved it when his father used to pick him up and carry him piggyback up the lane to their cottage.
