Nota d'usoIl verbo to stand, in alcune sue accezioni può essere seguito da un altro verbo. Quando significa “sopportare”, “tollerare” (di solito alla forma negativa, o preceduto da cannot), to stand deve essere seguito da una forma in -ing: I can't stand being late, non sopporto essere in ritardo.
