    Проект поправки к Конституции [ Constitutional Amendment], который предусматривал ограничение права президента США [ President, U.S.] заключать т.н. исполнительные соглашения [ executive agreement] с другими государствами. Выдвинута сенатором-республиканцем Дж. Брикером [Bricker, John W.]. Часть текста поправки была истолкована Д. Эйзенхауром [ Eisenhower, Dwight David (Ike)] как предложение дать Конгрессу [ Congress, U.S.] полномочия денонсировать международные договоры, и он обвинил Брикера в том, что тот хочет "разобрать" Конституцию "по кирпичикам" ["brick by brick by Bricker"] (игра слов). Брикер же заявил, что принятие поправки позволит избежать "введения социализма по условиям договора". В конце концов поправка была отвергнута Сенатом США [ Senate, U.S.] 25 февраля 1954
