Агрегат бластомеров, образующийся на раннем этапе развития оплодотворенного яйца многих насекомых (в частности, дрозофил): первые 13 делений дробления (причем первые 9 - строго синхронны) проходят без цитокинеза, в результате чего образуется синцитий примерно с 6000 ядрами; с 14-го деления начинается обособление желточного (меньшая часть синцития) и зародышевого полюсов и отдельных дочерних клеток (т.е. восстанавливается цитокинез).
