биологический признак, который позволяет судить о прогрессировании патологического процесса или об эффективности лечения. Биомаркеры используются в исследованиях как in vitro, так и in vivo. Обычно выделяют три конкретных вида Б.: Б. воздействия, Б. эффекта и Б. чувствительности. На уровне индивидуума с помощью Б. можно подтвердить или опровергнуть диагноз конкретного вида отравления или другого негативного эффекта, вызванного химическими веществами. У здорового человека Б. позволяет определить индивидуальную гиперчувствительность к конкретным химическим воздействиям и, т. обр., прогнозировать риск и оказать необходимую консультацию.Толковый биотехнологический словарь.
