Ruling of the Court of Arbitration for Sport which states that any footballer aged between 23 and 28 is entitled to walk out on a club, so long as he has served at least three years of his contract, or any player aged 28 or more after having served at least two years of its duration, with the only compensation due being the value of his wages due under the remainder of the contract.► This ruling was named after Andy Webster, the Scotland defender who unilaterally broke his contract with Heart of Midlothian to move to Wigan in summer 2006.
