A white twill cloth made with linen warp and cotton weft, known to have been woven at Lyons in 1580 by weavers from Piedmont. Froyes basin was made with warp of linen or hemp twisted with cotton and cotton weft, or cotton mixed with linen or hemp warp and cotton weft. -
